Taking Refuge in Coincidence
Taking Refuge in Coincidence produces an artificial sound of rain on the roof of a small shelter installed indoors through the strikes of a motor. The random rhythms, striking the metal surface as combinations of different possibilities, create a sonic environment that evokes the irregularity of natural raindrops. In this way, while waiting inside the shelter, the viewer experiences the chaotic randomness of nature within an artificial order.
